(PART ONE) (PART TWO) (PART THREE) (PART FOUR) (PART FIVE) (PART SIX) (PART SEVEN) (PART EIGHT) (PART NINE) (PART TEN) (PART ELEVEN) (PART TWELVE) (PART THIRTEEN) (PART FOURTEEN)

Please see SASUKE 25 NAVI 1 hour review of Sasuke 25 with fluff pieces of all the major players in the upcoming Sasuke!). Oh.. and as Ube says: If you are from the G4 Forums, DON'T POST THIS THERE. They expect everyone to stick their head in the sand and pretend it doesn't exist..

UBE'S Sorta-LIVE-BLOG FOR SASUKE 25 IS HERE!

Massive thanks to Ube for his help on the names in English and Japanese of all the competitors!! Thanks to scnoi and Sasukepedia and the SASUKE データサイト (Data site) for the kanji.

Folks we've got.. wait.. a mystery stage? LOL Go Go 3rd stage!

Kenji Takahashi 高橋賢次 - Representing Saitama 埼玉県 Prefecture

Thehehe since Brian can't speak Chinese he does hand motions to him. Apparently he's just showing him how he's warming up and trying to get warmth to his fingertips

And there is much gawking.. (Kenji, Koji, Okuyama, Brian and Lee)

TBS being all dramatic.. they covered up the obstacles.. with bed sheets.

And the first couple are revealed at last!

Getting an Ooooh from Kenji and Koji a stunned silence..

To say they are shocked is kinda an understatement :p

Brian and Lee with their wtf faces

The faces of disbelief..

Okie dokie! First obstacle is the circle spikey looking thing. It's name is Roulette Cylinder ルーレットシリンダー

That connects directly to the Doorknob Grasper ドアノブグラスパー

3rd obstacle is the Floating Boards フローティングボード

Koji is still mesmerized while Kenji is having an attack of the giggles

Okuyama is just.. stunned..

Then he just giggles..

More bedsheets!

Ah yes.. that monstrosity that we saw in the commercials..

The 5th incarnation of the Cliffhanger. This one is called the Ultimate Cliffhanger アルティメットクリフハンガー

Nicknames for this are the UCH here in the USA and the Japanese call this the "AruKuri" (arutimetto kurifuhangā)

Kenji is totally mind blown...

He blows past everyone to get a closer look

Brian and Lee with their silent facial expressions

Brian can't stop shaking his head

And they just look at each other and smile

Both are probably thinking the same thing but it's cute how they say nothing

One of the many ledges the UCH has

Koji is trying to figure out if both of his hands next to each other even FIT on that ledge

TBS Suckitude Chart™ Updated for the 3rd stage. We've got 5 survivors today! In order Kenji, Okuyama, Koji, Brian and Lee

Kenji is up first!

Back to announcer Fumiyasu Satō 佐藤 文康 - the less annoying announcer..

Back to milking the crane shots. Final stage on the left in blue. 3rd stage (we are here!) in the middle in white, 2nd stage in orange on the left and along the bottom in green is the 1st stage.

First to test the brand new redesigned 3rd stage is Kongo!!

But first.. time to unhinge wedgies and fix shirts.. because they feel the need to do this in public..

"KONG EXPRESS"!! Kenji Takahashi 高橋賢次 - Representing Saitama 埼玉県 Prefecture

Ninja Midget Army™ in Training here to cheer on their master!

Now for the first obstacle the Roulette Cylinder of what I like calling the Spikey ball thing of Doom!

Doing just fine on the Roulette Cylinder.

Yuuji is having kittens

Kanno is trying to figure out why

Now that he's gotten this far he needs to get set for the 2nd obstacle that's attached to

.. Door knobs.. yes.. door knobs..

I am assuming they locked the doorknobs so they don't "roll"

Having no issues with the doorknob grasper

Clear on the 2nd obstacle.

Ninja Midget Army™ is happy

Kenji has plopped down on the floor and is applying the Sasuke Spray in peace

Quoting Ube because he rocks: This new 3rd Stage is like someone freaked out at a NAFCO/Home Depot or something. I bet the doorknobs came from the boards or something like that.

Anyway he's quickly figuring out that this is NOT the Curtain Cling..

Onwards he goes! Floating Boards!

He actually is using a technique I haven't seen before (since I'm still used to them swinging on obstacles that look like this).

Yuuji and Kanno psychoanalyzing his grip

It's a lot thicker than that thought?

Kongo btw is barefoot here.. he's using his feet to hang on to the bottom of the boards and he slowly goes one board at a time.

Because even retired Yamada still is here :p

He's on the 2nd half of the Floating boards going down now

And safely on the mat!

Koji is loosing his marbles

The moment these guys are waiting for.. someone tackling the Ultimate Cliffhanger..

Ninja Midget Army™ cheering!

Kenji getting into the zone. He's taking his time here before mounting this monstrosity.

Stretching out...

Here we go...

Going up the one side of the first ledge (which is angled btw)

Switching to the 2nd ledge..

Both hands now on the 2nd ledge..

Gaaaaaaah and down he goes!

TBS likes doing replays before they do slow motion replays..

He just couldn't hang on

I can't imagine how cold that water is...

Ninja Midget Armycam™

HA! The Ninja Midget Army is trained in the USA! LOL (j/k)

LOL The All-Stars look like a flag

Reactions to the fall

Sideways nose sniffle..

Nagano looks gutted and .. confused..

And a new definition to pain.. freezing water when friggin' exhausted..

Brian and Lee's reaction

And the frustration kicks in

still kicking in..

Poor Kenji staring at his fingertips again

Okuyama talking about his chances I assume

And he's staring at his hands too LOL

Kanno talking to Yuuji

Yuuji muttering something into his gloves...

Dude.. the camera is up your schnoz.. it's not you are going to say this secretly..

Whatever it was Yuuji is cheesing and Kanno is cackling

Kenji Takahashi 高橋賢次 - Death by Ultimate Cliffhanger

I'm sure he'll be back with a vengeance!

That bang is driving me insane.. I want to go through the screen and pin it back...

Replay on the Roulette Cylinder

And the Doorknob Grasper

Here's his barefoot technique on the Floating boards

Most of his grip is on his feet while he transfers from board to board

And here is Kenji going up the first ledge

He was struggling here

And just couldn't hold on.. were his fingers frozen?

Lee giving his perspective

Koji can't stop laughing

Takahashi clan being interviewed

Friends talking .. wtf is up with the rash of pink towels?

Btw Ube has the translation: And then Kongu tells Okuyama that the Ultimate is hard. Thanks Kongu. He needed that.

Okuyama can't do anything but laugh

Oh vey the new 3rd stage is just...uhm...can't find a proper word.
Spikey Ball Thing of Doom! ROFLMAO!
ROFL at the Ninja Midget Army as well :P
I didn't expect anyone to pass the UL-CLI ('cause if Nagano calls it UL-CLI, I'll call it UL-CLI too! lol). The Shin-Cliffhanger alone took 3 tournaments before if was cleared for the first time -btw, I expect Takeda to be the first one to beat this one and bring up another Theory :P -, and now we know it's kinda easy.
God I want a shot at that...I'm damn curious to see how it feels to tackle that thing. Well, getting to Sasuke 26 and all the way to the Cliffhanger in Stage 3 should be easy, no? j/k
Can't wait to see an All Star clearing (and possibly pwning) that monster!Watching Ryo or Keita attempting it should be interesting as well.

LOL yeah. Even reading Keita's board I was having trouble with the translation until I was explained that they use slang for all of the obstacles. Then I heard Nagano use it in the interview and it all made sense! I say is Arukuri though since it sounds funnier :)
